MyCalPERS, a $514 million information technology project with over 5,000 users, replaced over 49 disparate systems with a single enterprise-wide pension administration, health benefits administration, and customer relations system for the largest public retirement entity in the nation.
Responsible for Project Management, Contract Management, and Financial Management, during the final stages of system development, go-live and the first year of maintenance, Scott and his team provided leadership for the following:
- Building project schedule timeframes, work estimates, cross-team dependencies
- Staff management
- Quality management
- Developing contract amendments and work authorizations
- Negotiating warranty terms
- Negotiating operations and maintenance billing terms
- Managing scope changes with client Project Manager
- Project progress tracking (Earned Value, SPI, CPI) for Accenture leadership
- Managing project financials
- Managing over 10 sub-contracts
- Working with Accenture and CalPERS Public Affairs office
In addition, Jeannie’s responsibilities as the Organizational Change Management Lead included providing organizational change management and communication services related to implementation of the future state, conducting overall communication and training activities between the Enterprise Transition Management (ETM) team, Pension System Resumption (PSR) team, and the business divisions, and leading the effort to establish a Program Area Training Governance team and structure to provide oversight, strategic decision-making, standards, and risk mitigation supporting open, transparent communication between the program areas.
